Suggestions For Use

  1. Have a chapter committee member read a case study out loud, and have the audience participate with their thoughts about the issue. We do not provide any set answers; rather encourage your members to decide for themselves what the correct answer is.

  2. Make a copy of a different case study or other handout and have them on the tables, so members can read them as they arrive and hopefully they will discuss them with each other at the table.

  3. If your speaker fails to show up, use a few of the case studies to organize a group discussion that fills up the speaker’s time allotment. This is much better than saying “Our speaker could not make it and we do not have a replacement topic.”

  4. Encourage your members to take these issues back to work with them and have discussions with fellow employees. Ethics are for everyone.

  5. Create your own case studies and use them. Have a contest to promote it.

  6. At the start or end of each chapter meeting, read aloud one of the ethics quotes.

  7. Be creative and use the provided information anyway you desire!

  8. The inclusion of Ethics at each meeting will enforce our seriousness about Ethics and the CPCU Society.
